Dr. Morna Flood Consedine
President

The founder of Maracon & Associates International, Morna Flood Consedine is an experienced manager and educator in both the public and private sectors. She has over 25 years of experience training and teaching at every post-secondary level from the Quebec CEGEP and University systems to the upper echelons of multinational corporations. Dr. Consedine specializes in negotiations and conflict resolution. She is particularly respected for her work in international negotiations and her understanding of the influence of culture on management practices. A faculty member at the McGill Executive Institute in Montreal, Morna is also a Training Affiliate at the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (ICCCR) at Columbia University, in New York

Philippe Glaude

Philippe Glaude brings a rich background to Maracon, with 20 years experience in research, sales negotiations and human resource management. Before joining Maracon in June 2002, Philippe worked for an international pharmaceutical firm where he was an innovative and inspiring leader in the senior management team. He was proactive in the strategic development of marketing, communications and human resource development programs. He is an experienced facilitator and coach who combines effective communication and integrity with a respect for organizations and their people.

Lawrence Altrows
Associate

A Maracon associate for 16 years, Lawrence Altrows is a full professor at Ryerson University. Lawrence has worked as an urban planner in both the private and public sectors, and has taught for 30 years at the postsecondary level. Throughout his teaching career and professional practice in Toronto, he has specialized in community development including facilitation, applying consensus-building methods and participatory techniques to plan and implement both domestic community development and international sustainable development. His experience includes working as a planner, trainer, manager, and evaluator in South America, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. He has also worked on participatory community development projects in Cuba, Jamaica, Honduras and with diverse community groups and organizations in Toronto.

Johane Verdier

Johane Verdier is an international coach and an organizational development, leadership and communication specialist. For more than twenty-five years she has worked with people in the research and development, high technology, pharmaceutical and other industries. Trained in business administration, adult learning and psychology, Johane is a member of the Insights Discovery™ North American Faculty. Her diverse training programs link theory and practice through interactive learning, engaging participants in their own development. These steps encourage individuals to put into action their learning in both their business and personal lives, enabling them to contribute fully and realize their potential.

Jamie Priestly
Associate

Jamie Priestley has a strong background in communications and organizational behaviour. Formerly Director of Communications for the American communications conglomerate Omnicom Jamie’s consulting experience spans a range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, transport, travel and financial services. In the last five years he has focused on advising professional service firms on employee productivity. His work in this area is featured in management texts and a senior executive programme case study taught at Harvard.

Jane Reichman Van Toch

Jane Reichman Van Toch brings over 20 years of senior business experience in Organizational Development and Law. Jane is an experienced facilitator who works with all levels of organizations to develop and deliver sustainable change strategies. She has designed and facilitated strategic interventions, workshops and group sessions in order to engage groups in dialogue and learning, develop consensus around complex multi-stakeholder issues, articulate shared future visions and strategies, and develop action and implementation plans. Jane also works with individuals and groups to develop personal leadership and to maximize team potential. Prior to devoting her career exclusively to Organizational Development, Jane practiced law for 12 years as in-house counsel to a large real estate developer.

Pablo Restrepo Saenz
Associate

Pablo Restrepo Saenz's principal area of expertise is advising on organizational and intra-organizational conflicts through negotiation and mediation. Since 1990, he has trained and consulted for hundreds of corporations and is also an Associate Trainer for ICCCR at Columbia University in New York. Pablo is an associate professor in the faculty of Management and Administration at Universidad de los Andes in Santa Fe de Bogota in Colombia and at McGill University in Canada. Additionally, he is the Director of Tandem Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, a private consulting firm based in Colombia.

Maria W. Blazkiewicz

Maria W. Blazkiewicz has over 10 years experience in the high-tech sector developing computerized business solutions and negotiating supply contracts. Drawing on her experience as a computer and business analyst, Maria designs and delivers specialised business courses for management training institutions, as well as corporate clients in telecommunications, aerospace and engineering. Maria's focused, lively teaching style has resulted in her popularity as a trainer and lecturer in undergraduate and graduate management programs. She also facilitates customized corporate programs at the McGill Executive Institute in Montreal, Canada.

Liz Tayfun

Ms. Tayfun brings a broad-based human resources development and training background to her training, consulting and coaching experiences. Liz has a rich background in communications training in the corporate sector in Hong Kong and 15 years experience as a trainer, facilitator and training coordinator in the culturally diverse environment of the United Nations in Geneva. She has also worked with UN organizations in conflict zones such as Beirut and on peacekeeping missions in the Balkans.

Sara Nixon
